Between the time of the first teeth appearing and the time when the big molars come out, this pain can become unbearable. This condition comes into existence because at that time your child becomes accustomed to the sensations of teething and tries to learn to live with them. There is also a chance of experiencing this condition by your child when every tooth comes out.
Drooling: It generally occurs at an age of 3 to 4 years. In this condition, your child begins drooling more than normal due to teething. This may cause some problems in your little baby.
Coughing: Your child may occasionally gag or cough due to the extra saliva in the mouth. This is a minor problem with your child unless there are signs of flu or cold or high fever.
Chin rash: If the saliva usually runs from the mouth of your child, it can create a rash around the sensitive skin of the chin. This makes the mouth irritated and dry. To avoid this problem, you have to wipe your baby's chin and mouth periodically throughout the day.
Biting & gnawing: During the time of teething, your child just tries to bite and gnaw anything nearby in an effort to reduce the pain under the gums.
Cheek rubbing and ear pulling: The pain that occurs in the gums forces your child to rub the cheek or pull the ear. This problem starts when the molars begin to appear. In this regard, you should know that ear pulling can cause an ear infection in your child.

However, the bowel movements of a child are found to be slightly looser when a baby is teething and mostly parents agree with it. Moreover, according to a recent report of study performed by the Children's Hospital in Australia, it is supposed to be one of the most common symptoms of teething. Some people think that diarrhea comes into existence when a child swallows extra saliva, which loosens the stool.
Not sleeping well: Mostly child feel teething pain during the day and night. While suffering this pain, your child is not able to have a complete sleep. So, he/she wakes more often at night when the pain is on its peak point.
