Individual Dental Insurance
Do you know what mind slavery is?

Before you try to answer this question, you may wonder what it has to do with the topic that is being discussed.

Accepting any scheme for which you have to pay and buying a product or service solely based on an advertisement is mind slavery! Acting on an impulse without first applying your mind, is mind slavery.

Whenever I hear or read about the fact that dental insurance has become very popular or when I learn about the increasing number of dental hospitals that are being inaugurated, I feel sorry for people in general. Why cant people understand what is correct living?

You need to understand the root cause of problem. When you go to the root, 50% of the problem is solved. Once you solve the basic cause, the remaining 50% will not arise at all!

Dental Insurance plans, whether individual or group, are schemes that play upon your psychology. No insurance company in the world is for your benefit. An Insurance company’s main purpose is making profit, at the cost of your vulnerable psychology.

Instead of dental insurance, if dental education is provided, right from childhood, you will have dental hospitals converted into community welfare centers in the not too distant future!

Since that ideal situation is yet to come, now may you carry on with the existing approach of first being negligent about your health and then taking insurance cover to obtain medical reimbursement!

The goal should be better dental health at a lower cost.

Until that goal is met, I think we should take part in a dental insurance plan to cover any likely dental expense that we might have to deal with.

In order to decide on the particular insurance plan that suits you the most, you should study the options, features and riders of the vast array of available dental insurance plans. Beware of discount schemes, and gifts!  You should also read the fine print as a matter of practice before deciding on an insurance policy.

The basic rule behind dental insurance (or any other insurance as for that matter) is that the extent and amount of insurance cover depends upon the amount of premium that you are willing to pay. The insurance company has the right to charge you a higher premium in case the risk involved in providing you an insurance cover is high.
Whether the benefits offered are unconditional or conditional!

The procedure is simple. You pay a monthly premium for coverage, and the policy pays for all or most of your dental treatment and service charges.

Some policies restrict your freedom of the choice of the dentist from whom you are going to take treatment. As per this practice, the dentist should be on a list of approved dentists whom you can visit in case of a problem.

Any special treatment that you need will have to be recommended by the dentist. The treatment can be carried out from a particular dental hospital or private agency.

The cover is not instant, from the day you take the policy. Generally, there is a waiting period of 6 to 18 months. Make sure that you make a wise decision and select a dental insurance policy that is appropriate for you and your family.
