If You Want a Brighter Smile and Whiter Teeth Let a Professional Dentist Whiten Your Teeth for You
Teeth whitening can be carried out either with a teeth-whitening kit at home, or by visiting a dentist. There are a number of OTC products such as tooth whitening strips, gels and toothpastes with which you can whiten your teeth. These products are inexpensive and the convenience is undoubtedly attractive. However many of these products do not guarantee success.

A dentist is a highly trained and educated professional who is qualified to perform procedures to whiten your teeth, set crowns or veneers, remove cavities, and carry out restorative surgery and other similar tasks. It may be slightly more expensive to visit a dentist, but the dentist can view your problems holistically and advice you on other aspects of dental care, besides giving you advice on teeth whitening.

Many of us may not be aware that the tooth-whitening product may not be suitable for us. It may not be able to remove the type of discoloration that our teeth suffer from, there may be other problems such as tartar, plaque, or cavities that need to be treated before a tooth whitening procedure is carried out.

The dentist will be ale to identify and address such issues before beginning a tooth whitening procedure and advise you accordingly. On the other hand, you might spend and waste a lot of money by trying out a product only to find out that it did not work. The product may not be bad. It just did not wok or you, as you were not equipped with the right advice.

If at all you do wish to use an OTC based product, then the best option is to ask your dentist first. The dentist will be more than happy to help you out by giving you suitable advice or a recommendation.
