Food For Healthy Teeth
What you eat plays a major role in determining the overall health of your teeth. While there are some foods that cause damage to your teeth, there are others that are essential for healthy teeth. Here are some foods that can make your teeth healthier and stronger.

Milk
Milk is one of the best foods that you can have to maintain healthy teeth. It contains calcium which is a must for healthy teeth. Make note that your teeth are made up of calcium. Lack of calcium can cause early falling of teeth. Besides drinking milk, you can also consume various dairy products.

Apple
An apple a day can keep cavities away. Eating an apple daily increases the flow of saliva to your mouth. This saliva rinses away the bacteria and keeps cavities at bay. Besides, it also keeps your mouth moist and thus helps maintain oral hygiene.

Eggs
Eggs are an excellent source of proteins. Proteins are a must if you want to maintain healthy teeth and gums. They replenish your cells. Also, they regulate the flow of blood to the nerves inside the mouth and help in maintaining sound oral health.

Bell peppers
This is one of the crunchiest vegetable. Their crunchy nature helps them stimulate the gums. Also, bell peppers are a great way to cleanse the mouth and hence prove to be a healthy food option for teeth.

Oranges
Vitamin C is a must for your gums and mouth. Orange contains Vitamin C in great quantities. The vitamin C present in this fruit helps in production of collagen. Make note that collagen is one of the primary ingredients of gum tissue.

Dark chocolate
Surprise! Chocolate need not be bad always. Several studies and researches have proved that the chemicals present in dark chocolate prevent the build up of plaque  on the teeth. However, make sure that you consume chocolates that contain at least 80 % of cocoa. Also, make sure that you do not go overboard with this one.

Carrots
It is a known fact that calcium is a must for healthy and strong teeth. Carrots increase the absorption of calcium by the body. They contain Vitamin A that helps you absorb calcium and makes your teeth healthier.

Oatstraw
Oatstraw is an excellent source of silicon which is needed by the body for the proper utilization of calcium. Hence, it can help promote healthy teeth.

Nuts
Nuts contain numerous minerals. Some of these minerals include phosphate, magnesium and calcium. All these minerals are essential to maintain sound dental health. Eat peanuts, almonds, cashews and walnuts for healthy teeth. But, make sure that you only eat a handful.
